How Much Does a Website Cost in Brisbane? (2026 Guide)

Ask three Brisbane web designers what a website costs and you'll get three different answers, usually because they're quoting for different things. Here are typical prices in 2026, what drives them, and how to work out what you need.

The short answer: most Brisbane small-business websites cost about $2,000 to $6,000. A custom build with more pages or features usually costs $6,000 to $15,000. A simple one-page site can cost less. Ours is $799.

The market ranges are rough guides. Quotes vary a lot, so always check what's included and whether GST is included. Our prices have no GST added, because Hireadev isn't registered for GST yet.

What you are paying for

Most of a website quote is time. The hours go into:

• Planning: your customers, the pages you need and what visitors should do.
• Design: a layout, fonts and colours that suit your business.
• Building: writing the code and testing it on phones and computers.
• Setting up for Google: page titles, descriptions, clear headings and fast-loading images.
• Launch: putting the site online, connecting your domain and adding a secure (https) connection.
• Content: laying out your words and photos. Writing them is usually extra.

If one quote is much cheaper than the others, ask which of these steps it leaves out.

What makes a website cost more

• More pages. Each one needs design, building and content.
• An online shop, with products, a cart, payments and orders.
• Bookings, through a calendar or a link to a booking tool.
• Editing it yourself. Changing words and photos without a developer needs an editing system (often called a CMS).
• Custom features, such as calculators, customer logins or links to Xero.
• Copywriting and photography.

Is the cheapest option good value?

Wix and Squarespace are the cheapest way to get a site live. If you need something simple while you get started, they're a fair choice.

If your website needs to bring in enquiries, weigh up the trade-offs. You do the building and the updates. You can only do what the platform allows. You rent the site, so it goes offline if you stop paying. And you can't move it to another host later without rebuilding it.
