Web Development in Brisbane

We build custom web applications for Australian small businesses, mid-market companies, and funded startups — internal tools, customer portals, billing platforms, and multi-tenant SaaS. Brisbane-based senior engineers, fixed-scope quotes, no offshore handovers.

Who this service is for

Two main groups. Small businesses needing a proper website — local trades, clinics, retailers, professional services who want a 5–20 page site that's fast, ranks on Google, looks good on mobile, and has a CMS they can edit. Most of these projects land $1k–$15k and ship in 1–6 weeks.

And mid-market companies hitting workflow walls — the spreadsheets-and-shared-drives system that got the business to $2M revenue stops working at $5M. Manual data entry doubles. SaaS subscriptions stack up but nothing talks to anything else. That's when bespoke web software pays for itself. Most of these projects land $25k–$120k.

What we build

  • Local-business marketing sites (5–20 pages, fast, SEO-ready, CMS-driven)
  • Booking and scheduling sites for clinics, tradies, and service businesses
  • Customer portals — login, dashboards, document storage, self-service
  • Internal admin tools and operations dashboards that replace spreadsheet chaos
  • Multi-tenant SaaS platforms with subscription billing (Stripe/Chargebee)
  • Custom CRMs tuned to your sales process (instead of bending Salesforce to fit)
  • Inventory, job management and quoting systems with Xero/MYOB integration

Our process

1. Discovery (free for websites, paid for complex builds)

For straightforward marketing-site projects under ~$15k, a 30-minute call is usually enough scope to quote — no paid discovery needed. For larger custom-tool or platform projects, we run a paid 1–2 week discovery (AU$2,500–$8,500) producing clickable wireframes, a written technical specification, a fixed-price build quote, and an architecture diagram you own regardless of whether you proceed with us.

2. Fixed-scope build with 2-week sprints

You see a working demo every fortnight. Scope changes are tracked, costed, and approved before they enter the work. We don't bury changes in the next invoice.

3. Launch + 30-day stabilisation

Every build includes a 30-day post-launch period where bug fixes are on us. After that you can stay on a monthly retainer for support, or take the keys and run it in-house — your call.

Tech stack

Default is Next.js 15 + React 19 + TypeScript on the front-end with .NET 9 / ASP.NET Core or Node.js on the API layer, deployed to Azure or Vercel. PostgreSQL or SQL Server for the database. We pick to match your existing team and hosting — if you're a Microsoft shop, we go .NET; if you're cloud-native, we go serverless. We don't push frameworks for our convenience.

Why choose Brisbane-local

Going with a Brisbane-based team means same timezone standups, no language-barrier rework cycles, and the option of in-person workshops at your office for kick-off and major milestones. For most clients that translates to projects shipping 30–40% faster than equivalent offshore engagements — not because Australian engineers are inherently better, but because the feedback loop is hours not days.

Brisbane web development FAQ

Honest range: AU$1,000–$3,000 for a single-page landing site or simple 3–5 page brochure site. AU$3,000–$15,000 for a 5–20 page small-business website with CMS. AU$15,000–$50,000 for a focused internal tool or simple portal. AU$50,000–$120,000 for a multi-role customer portal with integrations and billing. We quote fixed-scope after a paid discovery for larger builds. Pure marketing sites get scoped on a single call — no paid discovery required.
Both. Around a third of what we ship is small-business websites and landing pages in the AU$1,000–$15,000 range — local trades, clinics, retailers, professional services. Fast, mobile-first, SEO-set-up-properly, with a CMS your team can actually update. We don't think of these as 'lesser' work; they're a meaningful slice of our weekly delivery and we treat them with the same rigour as larger builds.
Default stack is Next.js + React + TypeScript on the front, with either .NET (ASP.NET Core) or Node.js on the API layer, hosted on Azure or Vercel. We pick the stack to match your team's existing skills and your hosting preferences — if you already run on AWS or have an in-house .NET team, we use that. We don't push frameworks for our convenience.
Yes, fully. Code is committed to your GitHub or Azure DevOps from day one, and IP transfer is part of every contract. You can hire any other developer to maintain or extend the system afterwards — we explicitly avoid lock-in patterns.
Discovery: 1–2 weeks. MVP build: 6–12 weeks for most internal tools, 12–20 weeks for customer-facing platforms with billing and multi-role auth. We deliver in 2-week sprints with live demos, so you see progress every fortnight rather than waiting for a single big-bang launch.
Yes — we're Brisbane-based but deliver remotely across Australia. We have clients in Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, regional QLD and WA. For Brisbane and SEQ clients we offer occasional on-site discovery and stakeholder workshops where it adds value.
