Connect Your Business Systems
If your staff type the same job, booking or invoice into two or three systems, we can connect them so it is typed once. We are a Brisbane developer linking tools like Xero, MYOB and ServiceM8 through their official APIs. If a ready-made connector will do the job, we tell you.
Does this sound familiar?
- Jobs finished in ServiceM8 or simPRO are typed again into Xero or MYOB
- Bookings in Cliniko or Halaxy are copied into a spreadsheet
- Property managers copy details between PropertyMe and the accounts
- Website enquiries are copied by hand into a CRM
Each copy takes time and is another chance for a typo. An integration moves the data between systems for you, so it is entered once and matches everywhere.
A real example
Ryan is the sole engineer on 2Pay, software that pays doctors in Australian medical practices. It reads billing data from Best Practice (Bp Premier), works out what each practitioner is owed, pays them through Monoova and posts the result to Xero or MYOB. Sign-in runs on Auth0 and it is hosted on AWS. Nobody has to rebuild the pay run in a spreadsheet.
Systems we connect
We connect these tools through the APIs each company provides for other software:
- Accounts: Xero and MYOB
- Practice software: Best Practice (Bp Premier)
- Payments: Monoova and Stripe
- Job management: ServiceM8 and simPRO. For AroFlo, we check what its API allows before we quote
- Health bookings: Cliniko and Halaxy
- Property management: PropertyMe
- Sales: HubSpot
- Email, calendars and files: Microsoft 365
What each API allows varies, so we check your exact use before we quote. We are not an official partner of any of these companies. If your software isn't listed, ask us. If it has no API, we will say so up front. See how this works for trades businesses and medical and allied health clinics.
Try the off-the-shelf connector first
Many tools already have a built-in link to Xero or MYOB. Zapier, Make and Power Automate can join most popular apps for a monthly fee. If one of those does the job, use it. It is quicker and cheaper than custom code, and we can set it up for you.
A custom integration is worth it when:
- You move a lot of records every day and per-task fees add up
- Your business rules are too complex for a simple 'when this happens, do that' step
- Errors need to be caught, retried and fixed, not skipped
- Data needs to flow both ways and stay in step
- You need an audit trail of what changed, when and why
If the bigger problem is a manual process rather than two systems, see business process automation.
How it works
- Free 30-minute chat. Tell us which systems you use and where the double handling happens.
- Discovery for bigger jobs. A paid discovery of 1 to 2 weeks maps the data, the rules and what each API allows.
- Fixed quote. You see the price before any work starts.
- Build and test. We build against test accounts, so your real data isn't touched until it works.
- Run alongside. The integration runs next to your manual process so you can compare the results.
- Switch over. Once the results match, staff stop re-keying.
- Watch for errors. We monitor for sync errors and alert you, so records don't quietly go missing.
What it costs
Small integrations that move data one way are usually quoted after a short review of the systems involved. Small fixes to an existing connector or Zapier flow are charged at our consulting rate of $150 an hour.
A larger two-way sync that is part of a bigger system falls within our custom software range of AU$25,000 to $150,000. Either way, we give you a fixed quote before any work starts.
For your IT person
Connections use each platform's official API, with OAuth 2.0 where it is supported and API keys kept out of the code. We use webhooks where they exist instead of polling. Failed calls are retried, and writes are idempotent, so a retry never creates a duplicate invoice or job. Every sync is logged and failures raise an alert. We build and test against sandbox or demo accounts first. Integrations are built with .NET or Next.js and hosted on Azure or AWS in Australian data centres, in your account. You own the code, the cloud account and the API credentials.
Who you will work with
Hireadev is run by Ryan Brooker, a Brisbane software engineer. You deal with the person who writes the code. We meet in person across South East Queensland and work remotely with businesses across Australia.
