Privacy, security, and Australian regulation

Clinical software is a higher-stakes build than most. We default to:

  • Audit logs of every access to patient data, retained for 7 years

Almost never — and we'll tell you that. The PMS is the centre of clinical operations and replacing it is a multi-year, multi-million-dollar effort that we don't recommend for any SMB clinic. What we build is the layer around the PMS: better intake, smarter triage, patient portals, custom reporting, integrations with the rest of your business systems. The PMS keeps doing what it does well; custom software fills the gaps it doesn't.
We build to Australian Privacy Principles, the My Health Records Act provisions where relevant, and state Health Records legislation (HRIPA in NSW, HRA in VIC, similar in other states).
